Pique Technologies is designated as a Green Business in Crystal Lake, Illinois for its ongoing dedication to sustainable business practices.

We recognize that technology can play a significant role in reducing our carbon footprint, and we strive to leverage eco-friendly technologies and practices throughout our operations. We also work closely with our clients to help them reduce their own carbon footprint through the use of sustainable technologies, such as energy-efficient hardware and the implementation of lighting and HVAC energy control management systems.

At Pique Technologies, we believe that sustainability is an essential component of responsible business operations, and we are committed to doing our part to protect the environment for future generations.

Our sustainability efforts include:

  • Detailed collaboration with green experts and WELL Building Standard designers to design infrastructure of environmental and energy conservation building management systems
  • Researching and specifying equipment that is “Green” in nature and reliable
  • Investigating and identifying products that incorporate recycled materials in their products
  • Researching and detailing products and solutions that use recycled material and/or biodegradable materials for their packaging
  • Analyzing product origins and distribution methods; evaluating overseas transportation methods like sea or air, and assessing domestic distribution practices, including the use of electric vehicles and solar energy in factories
  • Implementation of a cardboard and plastics recycling program at Pique’s offices
  • Donated material and labor to construct raised garden beds at North Elementary School in Crystal Lake and sponsored the inception of the school’s Garden Club

As one of only a handful of businesses in Crystal Lake Illinois recognized with the “Green Business Designation,” we contribute to the sustainability in the building development and building/business processes however we can. Through specifying materials with Green Characteristics, products made of recycled materials, packaging that is biodegradable, through researching how it is transported, we’re going to do our part.

Though the technology scope is minimal relative to the other elements and materials that contribute to the construction of and operations of the building ecosystem, sustainably isn’t just about bricks and mortar; it’s about building a better future, one responsible choice at a time.
